What will you be doing?
Reporting to the Head of Logistics, the Shipping Coordinator will play an important role in supporting the company’s export and import operations. The position is responsible for both the physical and administrative tasks required to prepare high-value electronic products for shipment, ensuring deliveries are processed accurately and reach customers on time.
Working as part of a small and collaborative team, this role will involve a mix of hands-on and administrative tasks, including packing high-value electronic products and supporting shipment coordination. The successful candidate will be guided through the processes and systems used within the business, with training provided to build confidence in areas such as shipping documentation and compliance.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build a career in logistics or supply chain, with exposure to both domestic and international shipping activities. The role offers the chance to develop practical skills, gain experience with shipping processes, and grow within a supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Inspecting, packing, and preparing high-value electronic products for safe UK and international shipment.
- Generating shipping documentation including commercial invoices, delivery notes, air waybills, and ATA Carnets for both permanent and temporary shipments.
- Coordinating with courier services and international shipping providers to schedule and track shipments through to successful delivery.
- Maintaining accurate shipping and export records to support HMRC compliance and audit requirements.
- Supporting export licence control record-keeping practices for shipments of export-controlled goods.
- Ensuring goods are handled carefully and packaged appropriately to protect sensitive electronic equipment during transit.
- Assisting with day-to-day logistics activities to support efficient dispatch operations.

The ideal candidate will be organised, reliable, and comfortable working in a fast-moving logistics or dispatch environment. A strong attention to detail is essential, particularly when handling valuable electronic equipment and supporting shipping activities.
The successful candidate will bring a positive and flexible approach to work, with the ability to respond to changing priorities and support customer delivery requirements. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team will also be key to success in this role. To be successful in this role, you’ll ideally have:
- Previous experience working in a packing, dispatch, or logistics environment within a manufacturing or supply chain setting is desirable, but not required.
- Familiarity with export and import shipping processes, with exposure to documentation such as commercial invoices, delivery notes, air waybills, or ATA Carnets (training can be provided).

- A structured and organised approach to managing shipping tasks, records, and documentation.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to coordinate with internal teams and external shipping partners.
