What will you be doing?

 

Minelab is seeking a highly driven and strategic Business Development Manager (European Retail & Digital) to strengthen and expand its retail and digital footprint across Europe. This pivotal role is responsible for building, developing, and maintaining strong relationships with Minelab’s retail and digital network, identifying new business opportunities, and driving growth across established and emerging markets.

 

Working collaboratively with global sales, marketing, and product teams, the Business Development Manager will play a key role in shaping Minelab’s European retail and digital strategy—driving channel expansion, optimizing partner performance, and contributing to the company’s global marketing direction for consumer markets.

 

The successful candidate will bring a deep understanding of European retail dynamics, digital marketplaces, and channel development, coupled with a passion for commercial growth and brand excellence.

 

Key Responsibilities will include:

 

  • Developing and maintaining profitable relationships with European distributors, digital platforms, and retail partners that drive long-term business growth.
  • Identifying and securing new digital and retail opportunities, including large-scale retailers and strategic partners across Europe.
  • Conceptualizing and implementing promotional and sales models, including advertising campaigns, dealer support initiatives, and trade show participation.
  • Managing and expanding Minelab’s direct-to-consumer digital platforms, ensuring brand consistency and measurable return on investment.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to align retail and digital strategies with global consumer marketing objectives.
  • Conducting detailed market and competitor analysis to guide product positioning, pricing, and sales strategy.
  • Monitoring partner performance, implementing improvement plans, and ensuring optimal retail representation and merchandising standards.
  • Leading operational activities related to sales order processing and marketing execution to ensure smooth and timely delivery.

 

 

About You

 

The ideal candidate is a commercially minded business development professional with a proven ability to grow retail and digital sales channels across diverse European markets. With exceptional negotiation and relationship management skills, this individual combines strategic foresight with a hands-on approach to execution and results delivery.

 

To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:

 

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Management, or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Demonstrated success in managing Amazon and other digital marketplaces across Europe.
  • Proven experience in developing retail partnerships and working with major “big box” retailers.
  • Strong understanding of digital advertising investment strategies, including SEO/SEM and online retail performance management.
  • A solid background in business development, sales, or marketing within a consumer products environment.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to analyze performance metrics and optimize outcomes.

 

 

This role is based in the UK or Ireland with the flexibility of fully remote work anywhere in the United Kingdom or our offices in Cork. The position requires regular travel across Europe to engage with retail and digital partners, attend trade shows, and support Minelab’s European market initiatives.

 

Candidates should be comfortable with a hybrid of remote collaboration and in-person engagement across multiple countries.
