About the role

 

Reporting to the Divisional CFO and supporting the broader DTC global business, this role will oversee the financial operations of our North American offices in Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Oregon. You will play a pivotal role in providing high-level financial support to our operations and sales teams across the U.S., ensuring strategic alignment with corporate objectives.

 

Key responsibilities include:

 

  • Leading revenue and expense forecasting, including sales pipeline analysis.
  • Providing bid and proposal support, including pricing strategies, payment profiling, and margin analysis.
  • Ensuring contracts and orders comply with corporate governance frameworks.
  • Assisting the divisional finance team in managing departmental budgets, expenditure, and inventory processes.
  • Overseeing business systems, financial controls, and compliance standards.
  • Supporting the U.S. project management team with financial insights.
  • Managing sales and corporate tax compliance in collaboration with the divisional finance team.
  • Reviewing and reporting on key financial and operational KPIs.
  • Assisting the Director of Accounting with cash flow management and liaising with AP and AR teams.
  • Overseeing payroll processes and ensuring adherence to payment terms.
  • Managing debtor processes and mitigating financial risk
  • Key stakeholder in overseeing the integration of SAP in North America

 

About You

 

To excel in this newly created role, you will have proven experience in financial leadership within a dynamic, multi-site business environment. You possess a strong track record in business and systems integration, financial compliance, and change management.

Your ability to communicate effectively, influence stakeholders, and drive positive business outcomes will be key to your success. You will also have relevant financial qualifications and accreditations.

 

Key skills and experience:

 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce, and ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Microsoft Dynamics AX or similar).
  • Strong track record of delivering key financial insights to support strategic business decisions at the leadership level
  • Understanding of U.S. business taxation regulations.
  • Experience in manufacturing, communications, or technical engineering sectors (preferred but not essential).
  • Ability to travel interstate frequently.
  • Eligibility to obtain U.S. Security Clearance.

 

At DTC, we recognize and respect the need for flexible working arrangements. However, given the high level of engagement required for this role, it will primarily be based at our Ashburn facility, with occasional remote work arrangements as needed.
