About the Role

 

As a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET), you will design and build automated test solutions for our advanced communication products. Working closely with R&D, test engineering, manufacturing, and customer support, you will help ensure our embedded systems are reliable, performant, and production-ready.

This is a hands-on role for a technically strong engineer who enjoys solving complex problems and contributing across the full development lifecycle—from concept through to production.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure embedded software quality and reliability
  • Work with internal stakeholders to clarify requirements and define test coverage
  • Verify embedded system software interfaces and requirements
  • Develop automated test software for embedded Linux, Windows, and Android platforms
  • Participate in design reviews, application testing, and prototype evaluations
  • Create and execute software test plans and document results
  • Support additional engineering activities as required

 

About You

 

You are a mid-level SDET with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer, or Software Engineering (or similar) and experience developing and testing embedded and/or enterprise systems. You are hands-on, collaborative, and technically strong in Linux and embedded environments.

You take ownership of your work, communicate clearly, and are driven to deliver secure, reliable, and high-performance software. You are quality-focused, comfortable working under pressure, and willing to contribute to ensure sprint and delivery commitments are met.

 

Knowledge & Experience

 

Required:

 

  • Strong Linux development experience (applications, containers, VMs)
  • Experience testing networking and routing (Ethernet, IP, VLANs, bridging)
  • Experience testing system performance and power efficiency
  • Strong software test automation skills
  • Experience working in both Microsoft and Linux environments

 

Desirable:

 

  • pytest, Robot Framework
  • LAVA, Fuego
  • OpenSTF / ADB
  • Yocto ptest, LTP
  • CTest (CMake), GoogleTest, KUnit
  • TTCN-3 (Eclipse Titan)
  • locust, k6, iperf, tc
