What will you be doing?
Reporting to the Sales leadership team, the Sales Development Representative (SDR) will play a key role in supporting pipeline development and sales execution at Wave Central, a leader in integrated wireless video and broadcast solutions. This role is responsible for qualifying leads, coordinating sales activities, and ensuring a smooth transition from initial customer engagement through to order handoff and post-sale follow-up.
This is a highly collaborative role where the SDR will work closely with Regional Sales Managers (RSMs) and cross-functional teams including Engineering, Operations, and Production. The position involves managing customer interactions, maintaining accurate CRM data, and supporting the sales process to ensure opportunities progress efficiently through the pipeline.
The role offers strong exposure to both the commercial and operational sides of the business, providing an opportunity to develop a well-rounded understanding of the sales lifecycle while contributing directly to business growth and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Qualifying inbound and outbound leads to identify high-potential opportunities aligned with company offerings.
- Scheduling and coordinating meetings, demos, and calls for Regional Sales Managers to support pipeline progression.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of leads, accounts, and opportunities within Salesforce CRM.
- Supporting the quoting process, ensuring quotes are prepared, delivered, and tracked in a timely manner.
- Verifying purchase orders against issued quotes and resolving any discrepancies to ensure accuracy.
- Coordinating with Engineering, Operations, and Production teams to ensure orders are clearly defined and successfully handed off.
- Monitoring opportunity and order progression, following up with customers and internal teams to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
About You:
The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment. Strong communication skills are essential, along with the ability to engage confidently with both internal teams and external customers.
The successful candidate will bring a proactive, solutions-focused approach, with the ability to keep opportunities moving through the pipeline while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. A strong interest in sales, customer engagement, and process coordination will be key to success in this role.
To be successful in this role, you’ll ideally have:
- Previous experience in a sales support, business development, or customer-facing role is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accurate records.
- Experience using CRM systems, with Salesforce experience preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A proactive and self-motivated approach to problem-solving and task management.
- The ability to collaborate effectively across teams, including Sales, Operations, and Finance.
- High attention to detail, particularly when managing customer data, quotes, and order information.
