What will you be doing?

Utilise your expertise or develop and grow your experience in an innovative friendly intelligent team to support and contribute to the design, development and implementation of hardware solutions for future Tactical Communication products.


As a key member of the team, you must be able to bring the below experience OR as a graduate/entry level Engineer - develop experience in these areas:

  • Produce and maintain analogue design systems and test documents
  • Design low noise analogue, ideally HF (1-30 MHz), circuits.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the characteristics of real-world discrete components
  • Design and selection of magnetic components such as inductors, chokes and transformers.
  • Simulation of analogue circuits using software such as Genesys, ADS and SPICE
  • Investigate new products; develop requirements and specifications in conjunction with stakeholders
  • Provide support in debugging of electronic circuits and mechanical assemblies for communications projects
  • Conduct functional and environmental testing of modules, sub-systems and systems
  • Assist in the preparation of design and testing documentation for new and/or existing products
  • Assist with the transfer of designs to contract manufacturers
  • Assist with formal compliance testing (EMC, Spectrum usage and Safety)

 

What makes a successful Analog Design Engineer OR Graduate / Entry Level Analog Design Enginer?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronic, Communications, Telecommunications Engineering, Physics or equivalent
  • Significant experience working in a design and development environment
  • Able to understand and interpret schematics, parts lists and mechanical assembly drawings
  • A high level of drive and energy, with a strong results orientation
  • Proven ability to work as a member of a team as well as autonomously without close supervision
  • Cautious design and creative problem-solving skills
  • Experience with Altium software is highly desirable
