About Zetron
At Zetron, we are driven by the mission to improve communication and response capabilities in environments where every second counts. Our control room solutions empower organisations in public safety, transportation, utilities, and beyond to operate efficiently and respond effectively.
The Role
As Project Manager, you will be responsible for delivering end-to-end ICCS+CAD implementations and integration projects into UK police forces, acting as the key interface between:
- Zetron product, delivery, support and engineering teams
- Force operational stakeholders (control room, command and control, operations)
- Force IT and infrastructure teams
- Third-party suppliers and integration partners
You will play a pivotal role in bringing Zetron’s new CAD system to market, shaping how it is deployed, integrated and evolved based on real-world feedback from UK policing customers and your own experience of delivering critical communications solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery & Governance
- Lead the planning and delivery of CAD implementation and integration projects, ensuring successful go-lives for early adopter and subsequent police forces.
- Create and maintain detailed project plans, RAID logs, resource plans and status reporting aligned to Zetron’s delivery framework.
- Manage budgets, milestones and contractual deliverables, escalating risks and issues with clear mitigation plans.
- Run internal and customer-facing governance (project boards, steering groups, change control).
Customer & Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary day-to-day contact for police forces during project delivery.
- Facilitate workshops to capture and refine operational, technical and integration requirements for Zetron’s CAD system.
- Present project updates, demos and readiness reviews to senior officers, control room managers and programme boards.
- Balance and manage expectations across operational policing, IT, suppliers and internal Zetron stakeholders.
CAD Implementation & Integration
- Plan and coordinate the deployment and configuration of Zetron’s new CAD system into live and test environments.
- Manage integration to surrounding systems, such as:
- Telephony / radio / communications platforms
- Mapping and location services
- Records management / crime / intelligence systems
- Mobile data / officer devices
- Reporting and analytics
- Oversee data migration, interface development and end-to-end system/integration testing.
- Ensure non-functional requirements (performance, resilience, availability, security etc) meet operational policing needs and are appropriately considered during acceptance test cycles
Software Development & Product Collaboration
- Work with Zetron’s software engineering and product teams to prioritise features, enhancements and fixes informed by UK policing use cases.
- Work with Agile delivery teams to align development sprints with project timelines and customer facing plans
- Provide structured feedback from forces into the product roadmap, helping shape the evolution of the new CAD platform.
- Coordinate testing and acceptance of new features before they are released into customer environments.
Security, Compliance & Risk
- Operate within the constraints of NPPV3 policing environments, handling sensitive information appropriately.
- Ensure projects comply with relevant standards and policies (information security, data protection, force-specific policies).
- Proactively identify and manage risks and issues, particularly where they may impact live operations or officer/public safety.
Cutover, Training & Change Management
- Plan and manage cutover activities, rehearsals and go-live events, including back-out and contingency options.
- Coordinate with training teams (Zetron and/or force) to ensure control room and operational staff are ready for go-live.
- Support change management and adoption activities to embed Zetron’s CAD into day-to-day policing operations.
- Manage hyper care/post-go-live phases to stabilise the solution and capture lessons learned.
- Ensure that the handover to support transition is managed effectively
Essential Skills & Experience
- Current NPPV Level 3 clearance (or recently held and capable of swift renewal).
- Significant project management experience within UK policing, preferably in control rooms, CAD or integrated command & control systems
- Proven track record delivering software and integration projects in mission-critical or 24/7 operational environments.

- Formal project management qualifications (e.g. PRINCE2, APM, PMP, AgilePM, Scrum Master).
- Familiarity with API-based integrations, middleware and event/message-based architectures.
- Understanding of information security best practice (e.g. ISO 27001) and UK data protection legislation.
