What will you be doing?

Utilise your expertise in an innovative friendly intelligent team to support and contribute to the design, development and implementation of hardware solutions for future Tactical Communication products.


As a key member of the team, you must be able to:

  • Produce, review and maintain relevant design, systems and test documents
  • Design of RFIF modules (front end, mixer, hybrid DDS/PLL synthesiser, AGC, ADC, DAC) using an FPGA
  • Design VHDL systems, such as filters, interpolation, decimation, frequency translation, modulation or other signal processing techniques.
  • Design interfacing solutions between the PCB components and the VHDL sub-system.
  • Design and layout printed circuit boards and schematics.
  • Conduct functional and environmental testing of modules, sub-systems and systems
  • Develop requirements and specifications for new products in conjunction with stakeholders
  • Assist in the preparation of design and testing documentation for new and/or existing products
  • Assist with the transfer of designs to contract manufactures

 

What makes a successful Digital RF and PCB CAD Engineer?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronic, communications, Telecommunications Engineering, Physics or equivalent
  • Some experience working in a design and development environment
  • Able to understand and interpret schematics, parts lists and mechanical assembly drawings
  • Experience programing with HDL design languages (such as VHDL, or similar) is essential
  • Some experience with Altium Designer, or a similar PCB Cad package, is highly desired
  • A high level of drive and energy, with a strong results orientation approach
  • Proven ability to work as a member of a team as well as autonomously without close supervision
  • Creative problem-solving, initiative and excellent customer service skills
  • Attention to detail
