This position has been evaluated with at an hourly rate of $22- 30:00 dependant on experience.
About the Role
The Electronic Assembly Technician supports the assembly, prototyping, and testing of electronic products to ensure accurate, reliable, and timely delivery of assemblies and prototype builds. The role involves hands-on technical work in a manufacturing and engineering environment, with a strong focus on quality and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, modify, and assemble electronic and electromechanical assemblies to engineering specifications
- Support electronics prototyping, testing, and part evaluation activities
- Perform electronic testing and basic fault identification as required
- Complete ERP processing and job documentation accurately
- Ensure assemblies and modifications meet quality and reliability standards
- Deliver prototype and production work in line with agreed schedules
About You
The role requires practical experience in manual soldering and the assembly or modification of electronic assemblies, supported by an apprenticeship, diploma, or similar qualification in electronics or electrical engineering. A strong interest in electronics and hands-on technical work is essential.
The successful candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, patience, and reliability, with the ability to follow instructions and take responsibility for assigned tasks. Clear written and verbal communication skills and basic competence in documenting results using standard office tools are required.
