What will you be doing?
Reporting to the Global Digital Sales Director, Minelab is seeking a commercially minded and digitally driven E-Commerce Market Development Manager - North America to lead the execution and optimization of e-commerce operations across Minelab.com and Amazon marketplace platforms.
This role will be responsible for driving traffic, conversions, and revenue growth by ensuring seamless customer experiences, implementing high-impact digital merchandising strategies, and maintaining strong account health across online marketplaces. The position will also play a critical role in coordinating product launches, promotions, and cross-functional alignment with internal teams including global marketing, supply chain, and customer service.
With a strong focus on data-led decision-making, the Market Development Manager will analyze performance trends and provide actionable insights to support long-term digital growth within the North American region.
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Manage the performance, merchandising, and content strategy of Minelab.com, ensuring a high-quality user experience and alignment with promotional activity.
- Drive Amazon marketplace growth through effective product listing management, pricing strategies, and performance optimization of Amazon Ads and DSP campaigns.
- Monitor and report on key metrics including traffic, conversion, average order value, and ROI across all digital channels.
- Oversee marketplace compliance and account health while optimizing FBA inventory and logistics.
- Provide regular performance analysis and insights to guide digital strategy and improve customer experience.
- Collaborate with internal marketing, supply chain, and customer service teams to support launches, promotions, and brand consistency.
- Partner with external agencies (social media, email, translation) and stakeholders (distributors, dealers, retailers) to execute regional campaigns and initiatives.
- Engage with key community groups and brand advocates, maintaining a strong presence across both online and offline forums.
About You
The ideal candidate is a digitally fluent e-commerce professional with a passion for driving measurable results and improving the online customer journey. With relevant qualifications in marketing, digital advertising, or a related field, the successful candidate brings hands-on experience in managing e-commerce platforms, Amazon marketplace operations, and performance marketing.
Strong analytical capability and a data-first mindset are essential, as is a deep understanding of digital merchandising, UX best practices, and cross-functional collaboration. A background in managing CMS platforms, SEO/SEM strategies, and paid media campaigns is highly desirable.
To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:
- Demonstrated success managing e-commerce platforms, including content management, UX optimization, and performance tracking.
- Experience with Amazon Seller Central or Vendor Central, including advertising, Buy Box strategies, and inventory management.
- Strong proficiency in digital marketing, including SEO, paid media, and email marketing.
- Skilled in interpreting e-commerce data to inform strategic decision-making.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and analytics tools; experience with BI platforms is a plus.
- Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, global business environment.
Based primarily at Minelab’s Aurora-IL facility, you must be flexible for occasional travel as you may require attendance at regional/international trade shows, events, and strategic meetings. Participation in distributor shows, buying group events, and community engagement initiatives as needed as well.
