About the Role
As a DevOps Security Engineer, you’ll be key to building, securing, and maintaining our software development infrastructure. You’ll own the internal CI/CD pipeline, ensuring the security, reliability, and performance of all software platforms.
In this hands-on role, you’ll design, implement, and manage development tools, automate build and deployment processes, and apply security patches to keep systems resilient and compliant.
You’ll collaborate closely with the software team to create an agile, secure, and efficient development process that supports rapid iteration and delivery. Reporting to the Director of Software Engineering, this position is ideal for a proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
Key Deliverables
- Contribute to team meetings to define priorities, allocate tasks, and align development goals.
- Evaluate, integrate, and optimize tools for project management (e.g., Jira), source control (e.g., GitHub), code review, and security scanning.
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Terraform, Gradle, and GitLab.
- Collaborate with internal teams and customers to define security requirements and support secure software delivery.
- Serve as SME for security hardening, patching, and vulnerability mitigation.
- Manage automated testing pipelines and generate validation reports and BOMs.
- Maintain on-premises development environments and tooling.
- Create and maintain clear, accurate technical documentation.
- Perform additional duties to support the Software Development Team’s success.

Knowledge & Experience
• Expertise in:
o CI/CD pipeline design and automation
o Software test automation
o Linux and Android development
o CVE monitoring and patching
o STIG/SCAP compliance
• Experience optimizing pipelines for rapid build/test/release cycles.
• Familiarity with Agile and Test-Driven Development (TDD).
• Proficient with Jira, GitHub, and code scanning tools.
• Excellent communicator with strong technical presentation skills
