About the role?

 

The role of Business Development Manager – Countermine reports to the business unit Vice President/General Manager and will be responsible for regionally promoting and developing the military and humanitarian de-mining division with a focus on the North and South American markets. This will include identifying, building and developing new opportunities that support existing channels and strategic alliances in line with overall business strategies

 

Key requirements will include:

  • Create and implement regional business strategies in conjunction with key stakeholders to ensure the value proposition continues to be both relevant and progressive
  • Review and modify the strategy as required to ensure achievement of profit objectives
  • Identify and prioritise opportunities for the expansion of regional product sales
  • Build, develop and maintain relationships across the regional network that maximise sales and revenue
  • Identify and attend trade shows, demining workshops and exhibitions that broaden access to markets and key customers
  • Prepare and respond to regional tenders and proposals that help to strategically position the Countermine Division and generate revenue
  • Actively contribute to the Product Development strategy by proactively liaising with customers and obtaining their feedback and understanding their requirements

We are seeking candidates with a proven track record of delivery within a business development environment that are looking to be challenged and be part of a company that has demonstrated growth both globally and within the North and South American geography. This role will engage with Military or Defence sector specialists that ideally have knowledge and experience within the explosive ordinance environment.

 

To be successful in this position you will bring the following:

 

  • Demonstrable experience in a relevant international sales environment ideally within the defence or military sector
  • High level verbal and written communication skills with a good level of technical, commercial, and financial awareness.
  • Experience of building, developing and maintaining relationships across the regional network that maximise sales and revenue
  • An ability to tailor sales and management style to each circumstance, relationship, and culture
  • A drive and passion that will deliver the initial and stretch growth targets within agreed timeframes.

This role will be based at our Aurora Illinois facility and will be required to undertake regular and extended travel to regional key customers and other locations as required.
