About the Role
While this role is ideally full-time, we are open to discussing a 0.8 FTE arrangement for the right candidate.
This is a key role within Codan’s global tax function, combining hands-on delivery with ownership of core processes and the opportunity to shape how the function operates as the Group continues to grow.
Reporting to the Global Head of Tax, you will take initial ownership of Australian tax compliance and play a central role in coordinating global tax processes, improving data quality and supporting the evolution of scalable processes and governance frameworks across the Group.
This position offers strong development opportunities, allowing you to build your capability and progress your career within a dynamic, global environment. This role is designed as a development pathway into a future Tax Reporting & Operations Manager position, with increasing responsibility for global tax processes, reporting and governance as the Group moves towards Significant Global Entity (SGE) and Pillar Two requirements.

- Maintain documentation supporting tax processes, controls and risk management
About You
This role would suit a tax professional with experience gained in a Big 4, mid-tier or medium-to-large in-house environment. A strong foundation in Australian income tax compliance is essential, with exposure to FBT and tax effect accounting viewed favourably.
You bring strong analytical capability, attention to detail and well-developed Excel skills, along with experience working with ERP systems and financial data to support tax reporting and compliance processes. You are comfortable managing multiple priorities and engaging effectively with a range of stakeholders.
A proactive approach, strong sense of ownership and a genuine interest in improving processes and building scalable tax capability will be key to success. This role will suit someone looking to move beyond purely executional compliance work and develop broader experience across global tax, reporting and governance in a global, ASX-listed environment.
Benefits and Culture
Our culture is supportive and collaborative. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team where we share our ideas and innovation is strongly encouraged. We are looking for someone with genuine passion and can-do attitude for what they do.
