About the role

 

The newly created Senior Electronics Technician role reports to the Production Manager and is responsible for ensuring that all identified non-conforming products are repaired to the highest quality standards. This role also plays a key part in supporting the broader team by identifying and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurring defects, contributing to continuous improvement and product reliability

 

Key responsibilities will include:

 

  • Coordinate daily task allocation and workflow priorities in collaboration with the Production Manager.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues across a variety of electronic equipment using appropriate diagnostic and testing tools.
  • Repair or replace faulty components, ensuring full operational functionality and compliance with quality standards.
  • Investigate and analyse faults in electronic products, including PCBs, to determine root causes and implement effective solutions.
  • Conduct mechanical and electronic repairs, following proper procedures and using the correct tools to restore equipment to optimal condition.
  • Refurbish and upgrade electronic devices, including disassembly, software/firmware installation, and functionality testing.
  • Proactively identify and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the production environment to enhance efficiency and quality.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop the production team, enhancing technical capabilities and identifying growth opportunities for team members
  • Experience in soldering microelectronics including miniature BGAs, 0201 components, with precision and attention to detail
