About the Role
The Sales Support Specialist provides high level inside sales and sales administration support to Minelab’s global Countermine sales team and Australia based sales teams. The role supports day-to-day customer engagement, quotation and order management, and coordination with internal teams to ensure orders are processed accurately and delivered on time.
Working closely with the sales teams, the role is responsible for responding to and following up customer enquiries, preparing quotes, processing sales orders and coordinating shipments. The position plays an important part in maintaining strong customer relationships and ensuring a professional, efficient and responsive customer experience.
This role works across multiple internal functions including freight, supply chain and finance, ensuring accurate order processing, proactive communication with customers, and effective coordination across the business to support sales outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with sales teams to support customer relationships and maximise sales opportunities.
- Provide product information and guidance to dealers, retailers and end users where required.
- Prepare and issue customer quotations and proforma invoices.
- Process sales orders accurately and efficiently within SAP.
- Respond to customer enquiries via phone and email in a professional, timely and customer-focused manner.
- Coordinate with freight teams to obtain shipping costs and monitor shipment schedules.
- Prepare and issue shipping documentation and coordinate approvals prior to dispatch.
- Monitor and manage back orders, providing updates on order status as required.
- Coordinate warranty related items with the service team when necessary.
- Assist in planning and organising trade shows and exhibitions when required.
- Provide reporting and SAP data support to regional sales managers.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure all sales administration processes comply with internal controls and company systems.
- Participate in initiatives to improve processes, systems and customer service outcomes.
- Contribute to a safe and compliant working environment in line with company policies and standards.
About You
You bring experience working in a sales administration, inside sales or customer service environment where you have supported customers and sales teams through efficient order processing, strong communication and proactive problem solving. You are comfortable managing multiple priorities, responding to enquiries and ensuring customers receive timely and accurate information.
You have strong organisational and time management skills and are able to coordinate across multiple internal teams including sales, freight, supply chain and finance. Your attention to detail and commitment to accuracy ensures orders, documentation and customer communications are handled professionally and efficiently.
You are confident using business systems and tools, including Microsoft Office, and ideally have experience working with ERP or CRM systems such as SAP. You enjoy working in a team environment and take pride in providing high quality support that contributes to strong customer relationships and business outcomes.
