About the Role
The Global Legal & Compliance Administrator supports the Legal and Compliance function in delivering effective corporate governance and global compliance across the Codan Group. This role plays a critical part in ensuring governance, regulatory and compliance systems are structured, documented, coordinated and embedded across all jurisdictions to enable the function to operate strategically and proactively.
Working closely with the General Counsel & Company Secretary and key corporate stakeholders, the role provides coordination, documentation and reporting support across Board and Committee processes, global entity management, compliance programs and legal operations initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Support collation of global legal reporting and assist with preparation of Board and Committee papers, minutes and resolutions.
- Maintain statutory registers, corporate records and global entity documentation across all jurisdictions.
- Coordinate ASIC and international regulatory filings, ensuring compliance with statutory timeframes.
- Track and follow up Board and Committee action items and support General Counsel to ensure timely completion.
- Assist with AGM preparation, annual reporting processes and ASX disclosure administration.
- Maintain contract registers and support implementation and administration of the Group-wide contract management system.
- Administer and track Group-wide compliance programs, including mandatory training and policy rollouts.
- Maintain policy libraries, version control and compliance dashboards.
- Support director appointments, resignations and delegated authority documentation globally.
- Provide coordination support across strategic legal and compliance initiatives, including cybersecurity, data governance, ESG and regulatory transformation programs.
- Provide governance and documentation support to centralised corporate functions including Finance, HR, Tax, IT & Cybersecurity, Supply Chain, ESG and Corporate Development.
- Support administration of global export controls and sanctions compliance programs.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement across legal processes, systems and documentation practices.
About You
You bring experience in legal administration, company secretarial support, governance coordination or compliance within a corporate or professional services environment. You have a strong understanding of corporate governance processes and regulatory requirements, and are confident supporting Executive, Board and Committee administration within strict timeframes.
Highly organised and detail-oriented, you are comfortable managing multiple priorities across global stakeholders while maintaining accuracy and documentation integrity. You communicate clearly and professionally, exercise sound judgement and demonstrate discretion when handling sensitive information.
You are proactive, collaborative and systems-oriented, with an interest in continuous improvement and supporting the evolution of legal and compliance frameworks within a global organisation.
