What will you be doing?

The position is that of full time ICT Systems Engineer, working an average of 38 hours per week. You will report to the Systems Engineering Manager, will work within the Product and Technology Development team and will additionally support multi-functional departments to deliver the product definition, systems, delivery, and the technical management aspects of aligned projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with the Project Engineering Manager and Project Manager to ensure successful product development through the entire product delivery lifecycle from project initiation through to product release.
• Be or quickly be able to demonstrate detailed knowledge of relevant Minelab systems, code, hardware, equipment and policy and procedure
• Assist with test planning, quality audits, execution, and reporting, including informal lab tests, outdoor field-testing trips and formal verification/validation testing.
• Analyse and interrogate systems, product data and audit reports.
• Identify issues, diagnosing cause, document and communicate solutions and improvements
• Manage ‘Requirements’ development & management, including gaining requirement sign off from stakeholders, as well as communication to & buy-in from cross-functional project teams.
• Assist with prototype planning.
• Complete system architecture evaluations, identify and communicate current system improvements and anticipate changes and solutions required going forward.
• Accurately identify high risk issues and resolutions across systems and data. Assist with coordination of formal and informal system design and acceptance reviews.
• Provide technical system assistance/guidance and, if required, training in relevant system software, SOP and the interpretation of documentation.
• Work within a cross-functional project team with a focus on coordinating activities to support the prototype and test activities.

Mandatory Requirements

• a degree in a relevant/related field;
• at least two years full time work experience as an ICT Systems Test Engineer or in a closely related field;
• demonstrated experience in representing the voice of the customer within an internal project team; and
• demonstrated experience delivering optimum product outcomes to ensure continued growth for your employer’s market leading products.

We are seeking a highly committed, results orientated professional with high level interpersonal and communication skills, who is self-motivated with a proven track record of delivery within a Systems engineering environment.
