What will you be doing?
This role supports the design, development, and implementation of hardware solutions for next-generation Tactical Communications products. You will contribute to the development and maintenance of design systems, test documentation, and technical records to support system reliability and performance.
Working as part of an experienced team, you will play an active role in delivering high-quality, production-ready solutions and contribute to technical and project reviews to enhance system design. You will also produce clear and accurate documentation to support both development and ongoing sustainment activities.
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Contributing to the design and development of RF, analogue, digital, and communication circuits, including DSP/CPU-controlled systems
- Supporting the development of VHDL systems for functions such as filtering, modulation, decimation, and frequency translation
- Assisting with PCB design and layout using tools such as Altium Designer
- Participating in functional, environmental, and compliance testing of modules and systems
- Preparing and maintaining design, test, and manufacturing documentation
- Contributing to product development activities across the lifecycle, from concept through to production and sustainment
- Supporting the investigation of emerging technologies and contributing to defining technical requirements
About You
You are degree-qualified in Electronic Engineering or a related discipline, with practical experience in an engineering environment that has provided you with a solid foundation in electronic systems. You are confident applying your knowledge while continuing to build and refine your technical expertise across the full product development lifecycle.
You have hands-on experience or exposure to areas such as circuit design, PCB development, RF systems, or VHDL, and are comfortable contributing to engineering activities with a level of independence while still benefiting from guidance where needed.
You are a proactive and collaborative team player who takes ownership of your work and contributes positively to team outcomes. With strong attention to detail and clear communication skills, you are able to manage your tasks effectively and meet deadlines. You bring a positive, can-do attitude and are motivated to deliver high-quality results within a high-performing engineering environment.
