About the role

 

This role provides efficient, accurate, and timely accounting support to the broader Corporate Services (Finance) team. The position plays a key part in supporting core finance operations while offering the opportunity to develop a broad range of accounting skills across month-end processes, year-end activities, expense management ownership, and the budget process.

The role is well suited to someone with practical accounting experience who is eager to build capability, deepen business knowledge, and contribute to the smooth operation of finance functions across the organisation. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to manage high-volume transactional work, and confidence communicating with stakeholders across the business.

 

Key responsibilities

 

  • Perform daily global bank reconciliations
  • Reconcile petty cash, foreign cash, staff advances, and employee reimbursements
  • Manage the global credit card platform
  • Monitor the finance inbox and respond to queries and requests from the wider business
  • Support month-end and year-end accounting processes
  • Assist with projects as required
  • Provide support to business units and the wider finance team as needed

 

About You

 

You bring practical experience in transactional and operational finance within a multi-site organisation, with a strong hands-on approach rather than reliance on formal qualifications alone. You are quick to absorb information, adaptable in changing environments, and motivated to continually develop your skills across a broad range of finance processes. A tertiary qualification is not required for this role, and candidates with proven hands-on experience are strongly encouraged to apply.

You communicate with confidence and clarity, build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and can manage competing priorities, while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. You are a self-driven problem solver with a can-do attitude and strong organisational skills.

You have intermediate to advanced MS Excel capability, with exposure to SAP or similar systems and experience using expense management platforms such as Concur considered desirable.
