Title:  North America - Cyber Security Administrator

• Full-time, onsite / M-F / 40hrs per week
• Hybrid with the expectation to be onsite 4+ days per week for team collaboration.
• Occasional international travel is expected with this role.
• This position has been evaluated with an annual base salary range of $95,000 - $110,000 CAD. Offers will be determined based on the successful candidate’s assessed skills, experience and qualifications.

About the role:

As the Cyber Security Administrator, you will provide business-as-usual support for Codan Group's cyber security tools and services across the Americas time zone. Reporting to the Head of Cyber, you will manage security platform changes, troubleshoot issues, support regional escalations, assist with incident triage, and contribute to vulnerability management, patching, and cyber projects.

Specifically, the Cyber Security Administrator will:

• Complete moves, adds, and changes across security services and applications in line with agreed service levels.
• Troubleshoot, functionally test, and review security platforms, including endpoint detection and response, endpoint privilege management, web filtering, firewalls, and identity security tools.
• Act as a regional escalation point for reported security incidents and security-platform issues raised by business units.
• Coordinate change management activities for security platform changes.
• Support the triage and escalation of cyber security incidents when required.
• Prepare risk and vulnerability reporting and support the timely patching of software and operating systems.
• Assist with cyber project deployments and review technology initiatives from other teams through a cyber security lens.
• Monitor cyber security vulnerability news and emerging regional threats relevant to the Americas.
• Work collaboratively with Group Systems employees, global stakeholders, and security-tool vendors to deliver responsive support within agreed service levels.
• Contribute to special projects and continuous improvement initiatives across processes, tools, systems, safety, and quality.

About You

You will hold a bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field, supported by demonstrated experience in security operations, incident response, cyber security administration or a similar role.

Relevant industry certifications, such as CISSP, CEH or CompTIA Security+, will be highly regarded. You will have hands-on experience supporting enterprise security platforms, including endpoint, web-filtering, firewall and identity-security technologies, together with experience using security information and event management platforms.

You will also understand vulnerability management, patch management, incident triage and security change management practices. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail and clear communication will enable you to work effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders and external vendors.
