Title:  Technical Dealer and Marketing Coordinator

Date:  30 Jun 2026
Location:

Australia, Adelaide, AU

About us

Minelab is a technology company that creates world-leading metal detectors to help humanitarian organisations clear landmines, gold prospectors find life-changing gold nuggets, and historians to recover lost relics. We have a culture of innovation which makes us leaders in bringing new technology to customers across the globe.

About the Role

This is not a traditional marketing role.

We are looking for someone who lives and breathes gold, coin, and relic detecting, and has a passion for people, marketing, and outdoor adventure. Whether it's chasing gold in remote locations, detecting on local beaches, testing the latest technology in the field, organising an event, or engaging with the detecting community, this role puts you at the centre of the hobby and the industry.

As the Technical Dealer and Marketing Coordinator, you will be responsible for bringing our products to life through dealer engagement, customer demonstrations, events, training programs, and real-world experiences. Acting as a key connection between customers, dealers, and the business, you will help build strong relationships within the prospecting and metal detecting community while supporting commercial growth across the ANZEA and APAC regions.

Working closely with Dealers, Global Marketing, Engineering, and the ANZEA & APAC Sales teams, you will represent the brand in the field, gather valuable customer insights, support new product launches, and help customers get the most from their equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent the brand at grassroots, dealer, retail, and metal detecting events, demonstrations, trade shows, and customer activities.
  • Deliver hands-on product demonstrations and real-world field experiences for customers and dealers.
  • Support dealer and retail training programs, helping customers maximise product performance and best practice in the field.
  • Build strong relationships with prospectors, detectorists, industry influencers, and the broader detecting community.
  • Support the delivery of customer engagement initiatives, events, and field marketing activities across the region.
  • Assist with new product launches through demonstrations, training, field activation activities, and customer education.
  • Gather customer feedback, field insights, and market intelligence to support future product development and business decisions.
  • Work closely with the Sales teams to identify market opportunities and support dealer success.
  • Support content creation through field activities, customer stories, and product experiences.
  • Travel extensively throughout Australia and internationally to support customers, dealers, distributors, and events.

About You

Above all, this role requires a genuine passion for gold prospecting, metal detecting, outdoor adventure, and the communities that support these activities.

The ideal candidate may come from a background in gold prospecting, metal detecting, outdoor recreation, adventure tourism, retail, sales, training, customer engagement, or marketing. What matters most is a genuine enthusiasm for the hobby, a strong understanding of the customer, and the ability to build authentic relationships within the detecting community.

Strong communication and presentation skills are essential, along with the confidence to engage with customers, deliver demonstrations, conduct training, and represent the brand at events. Technical aptitude, together with the ability to quickly learn and clearly explain product features and benefits, will be highly regarded.

Experience in marketing, events, dealer support, training, or customer engagement is advantageous, but secondary to a genuine passion for the products, customers, and lifestyle associated with prospecting and metal detecting.

Benefits and Culture

Our culture is supportive and collaborative. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team where we share our ideas and innovation is strongly encouraged. We are looking for someone with genuine passion and can-do attitude for what they do.

Our Head office is located in Mawson Lakes offering a spacious, modern facility, free secure onsite parking, easy access via public transport, and an onsite subsidised café. We also have recreational facilities including a gym, basketball, and tennis court, as well as various game tables. Additionally, our staff are provided flexibility to meet the demands of family life, a child-friendly parenting room, and a variety of staff events to connect with colleagues across the Codan Group.
