About the Role

Reporting to the Transactional Finance Team Lead, the Graduate Accountant will play an important role in supporting our growing Corporate Finance team. This newly created position offers broad exposure across financial accounting, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and business operations, giving you the opportunity to develop your technical skills while gaining valuable commercial experience.

 

As a valued member of the team, you will contribute to a variety of accounting activities, including:

 

  • Assist with the preparation of daily, monthly, and annual financial reporting activities.
  • Prepare reconciliations for bank accounts, petty cash, foreign currency, staff advances, and employee reimbursements.
  • Support month-end processing, including journals, accruals, and financial reconciliations.
  • Maintain and reconcile the fixed asset register.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
  • Support the preparation of half-year and year-end statutory financial reports.
  • Liaise with external auditors and assist with audit requests and queries.
  • Provide financial and administrative support to Corporate Services and business units as required.

 

About You

 

You're an enthusiastic graduate or early-career accountant who is eager to learn, build your technical capability, and develop a successful career in finance. You enjoy working with numbers, have a strong eye for detail, and are motivated by solving problems and continuously improving the way things are done.

You communicate confidently, enjoy working collaboratively, and can build positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. Most importantly, you're keen to learn from experienced professionals while making a meaningful contribution from day one.

 

To be considered for this opportunity, you will have:

 

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, Business, or Finance.
  • A sound understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis concepts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive approach, willingness to learn, and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Exposure to SAP or a similar ERP system will be highly regarded, but is not essential.
